Kevin Anderson Creates History At Wimbledon 2018
Kevin Anderson of South Africa won an epic Wimbledon Centre Court semi-final battle against American John Isner, 7-6,6-7,6-7,6-4,and an incredible final set of 26-24. The match was the longest semi-final in the history of Wimbledon--over six hours! The South African will now meet the winner of the Novak Djokovic-Nadal tie which will be continued today.

And the winner posted a tweet saying he felt "honoured to share this piece of history" with the American.

Meanwhile, Wimbledon was panned for letting Friday's other semi-final between Djokovic and Nadal spill over on to saturday, the day of the women's final between Angelique Kerber of Germany and Serena Williams of USA. The 11 pm Wimbledon curfew came into play, triggering criticism.
Tennis fans and legends are outraged that the women's final could be delayed because the men's semi-final will recommence at 1 pm local time, an hour before the scheduled start of the Williams-Kerber. Former world number one women's player Kim Clisters tweeted:
