Shiva Balaji Speaks About Spending Bigg Boss Prize Money And More

Shiva Balaji and his wife Swapna Madhuri have decided to donate 20 percent of their total prize money (Rs 50 lakh) that they received from Bigg Boss Telugu reality show to the poor and the disabled.

In an interview to a vernacular news channel, the Telugu Bigg Boss winner said that he was overwhelmed by the way people received him after winning the show. "I was overwhelmed to see people receiving me like their family member when he went on a pilgrimage to Shiridi along with family members soon after the completion of Bigg Boss grand finale," he said.

Shiva Balaji is yet to receive his prize money of Rs 50 lakh due to formalities that are to be followed in tax deductions. Shiva Balaji and Swapna Madhuri said that they would like to donate money to old age homes located in Vijayawada and Hyderabad.

"We wanted to buy hearing machines for children who are deaf and bumb. An old-age home in Vijayawada sought monetary support from us. We would extend a helping hand to them," Swapna Madhuri said.

Sharing his initial days in Bigg Boss, Shiva Balaji said: "I had decided that I should not leave anyone for a petty issue as contestants are going to stay together for 70 days. I also decided not to cross my limits even while taking up tasks. Some of the contestants took chances and played as per their wishes."

When asked about his feelings when Deeksha Pant asked him to massage her body, the actor said, "I first thought why she was behaving like this. She though that I would skip the task. It was secret task between Deeksha and Prince and their goal was to make me angry. However, I took it up and completed it."

When asked about Deeksha and the way she played during the show, Shiva Balaji felt that she was very childish. "She was talkative and speaks out her mind on all issues. Other house members really got hurt by her attitude. She could not express her feelings constructively."

When members of the Bigg Boss complained against each other, Shiva Balaji said that he used to be very angry. Swapna Madhuri admitted that her husband got overnight stardom after winning the show. "Even though, he is an actor and did films. I feel proud when I get calls from people explaining the way Shiva Balaji managed the show," she said.
