‘SHe-Box’ Launched For Sexual Harassment Complaints  

New Delhi: Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi on Monday launched an online complaint management system called the 'Sexual Harassment electronic-Box (SHe-Box)'. It is meant to register cases of sexual harassment of women at workplace. Maneka said that though currently this facility has been extended to Central Government employees, the scope of the portal will soon be extended to women employees of private sector also.

A senior WCD ministry official said, "Once a complaint is registered, we will forward it to the ministry/department where the woman works. We will also follow it up with the respective ministry as to what action has been initiated."

WCD minister Maneka said that her ministry will carry out a national level survey to asses and understand the magnitude of the problem.
