Sharmila asks Chandrababu to withdraw his letter on Telangana - Sakshi Post

Kakinada, YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila  asked Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw his letter consenting creation of Telangana and tender apology for the mistake of backing the separate state.

Chandrababu's letter to the Centre giving concurrence to granting Telangana had prompted Congress leaders to decide on Andhra Pradesh bifurcation, she alleged referring to the said letter sent by Chandrababu in 2008 to a committee headed by then Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. Sharmila said YSRCP, founded by her brother and  Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy, will oppose proposed division of the state along with parties All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and CPM. She was addressing a public meeting here as part of her ongoing 'Samaikya sankharavam' yatra for united Andhra Pradesh. If Chandrababu has any self respect, he should immediately withdraw his letter on Telangana and launch a tour to apologise to common people for the mistake (of backing division of the state), she said. Sharmila also criticised Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for his occasional outbursts in favour of unified state and conveniently keeping silent at the time of crucial decision by the Congress Working Committee.
