School Turns Into Dance Bar On Raksha Bandhan Day

Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh): A video of brazenly women dancing in a government school has gone viral. The incident occurred on the same day when the entire nation celebrated Raksha Bandhan. The video shows attendees showering money on the women, who danced to Bhojpuri songs.

The school was turned in to dance bar by the gram pradhan, who organized it as the school was closed for three days in view of the festival. The incident has drawn flak forcing the officials to institute an inquiry. "We are preparing a detailed report of the incident and it will be submitted to the district magistrate on Thursday for further action," said Pravin Kumar Tiwari, Primary Education officer.

The official said that principal and teachers are not involved in the act, as the gram pradhan took the keys of the school and organized it. According to reports, the programme was organized to celebrate the birthday of gram pradhan’ son.
