Saudi Woman Receives Death Threats After Being Photographed Without Hijab

Malak Al Shehri, a Saudi Arabian woman has been receiving death threats after her picture without a hijab went viral on social media. The incident took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The picture has received backlash from many on social media to take stringent action against her for disobeying the law of the country. One of the users raged that, "She should be killed and her corpse should be thrown to dogs".

The account has since been deleted after the backlash that Shehri’s post generated

"We demand the imprisonment of the rebel Angel Al Shehri”, a hashtag on social media went viral, to take action against her.

Meanwhile, some came in support of the woman by writing, "It’s about time to protest against this discriminative abaya prison against women".

One of the tweet read, "A brave Saudi lady decided not to wear her Abaya or Hijab out & about. Many praised her, others (males) said she should be killed for it".

The account has since been deleted after the backlash that Shehri’s post generated.
