Sattupalli Tense over District Head Quarters Demand

Khammam: The 48-hours strike, demanding that Sattupalli be made the headquarters of Khammam district, turned tense on Wednesday. The Joint Action Committee has prevented the buses from moving out of the depots. The activists staged dharna from the early hours of the day.

When the police came to disperse the crowd, heated exchange ensued between them and the protesters. Later, the police dispersed them. Tense situation prevailed in the area.
