Samsung Phone Explodes In Man’s Shirt Pocket, Incident Captured On Camera

Even as it is battling the Galaxy Note 7 debacle, another handset explosion rocked the electronic gadget giant Samsung on Saturday, this time in Indonesia. The incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed at a store.
A Samsung Grand Duos model exploded in the pocket of a bi-spectacled customer. The CCTV grab shows the shocked man falling onto the floor and rolling over to put out the fire. He removes his shirt and a bystander too is seen helping him . The bi-spectacled man is seen rubbing his eye, which appears to have suffered an injury.
The gadget experts are attributing the incidents to the rise in the in usage of third-party batteries which is common in developing nations. These components are more affordable than the originals. In a statement Samsung said: "We sincerely wish for our customer's swift recovery, and strongly recommend all our consumers to use Samsung's genuine or approved batteries that have been specifically designed for use in Samsung products."
