Samantakamani obstructs Sailajanath from filing nomination

TDP MLC Samantakamani blasted former minister Dr.Sailajanath on Saturday at the office of the returning officer of Singanamala assembly constituency in Anantapur district.

When Sailajanath was filing his nomination papers for the same, Samantakamani reached there and asked the former how he could file the nomination papers on behalf of TDP being a Congress MLA and implicating several TDP leaders in false cases in the district.

Samantakamani informed Sailajanath, “Chandrababu and C.M.Ramesh told us to file nomination papers. My daughter Yamini Bala is filing nomination papers from the constituency.”

The MLC brought the matter of Sailajanath filing nomination papers both as a TDP candidate and also as a Congress candidate to the returning officer. However, the returning officer advised them to settle the matter outside his office.

However, the matter ended when Sailajanath decided on contesting as a Congress party candidate only from the constituency.
