Salman Khan’s Lawyer Receiving Threats To Quit Case

The hearing for granting bail to Bollywood star Salman Khan is now underway at a Sessions Court in Jodhpur. While Salman's lawyer has termed the punishment harsh saying eyewitness accounts are unreliable, he has also claimed that he's been receiving threats from last night from Dubai and Australia. The calls were purportedly made by the Ravi Pujari gang asking me to quit the case, he alleged.

Salman Khan was on Thursday convicted in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. A Jodhpur Court judge found the actor guilty of killing two endangered animals during his shoot for Hum Saath Saath Hai. His colleagues and co-accused in the case Sonaldi Bendra, Saif Ali Khan and Tabu were acquitted in the case for lack of evidence.

Now it remains to be seen if the judge will grant bail to the actor.
