Sakshi Expose on Amaravati Land Scam Creates Ripples in AP Cabinet

Vijayawada: The mammoth land scam in and around the new capital city of Amaravati by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh and ministers, which was exposed by Sakshi newspaper in Wednesday issue created ripples in the state cabinet.Some minister carried Sakshi newspapers to the Wednesday's cabinet meeting to question the CM and their tainted colleagues.

Ministers Prathipati Pulla Rao and Narayana had a private meeting before attending the cabinet meet.

Reacting on the scam reports, ministers Narayana, Prathipati Pulla Rao and Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that they were false and baseless. Speaking to the media after the cabinet meet, Pulla Rao said a defamation case will be filed against Sakshi for publishing false reports. Narayana said if the media organization proves the existence of binami lands, he will donate all such properties to the poor people.
