Rival TDP Groups Prepare For Dinner showdown In Allagadda 

The fissures within the ruling Telugu Desam are coming to the fore with vengeance in Kurnool district. The fight is over a dinner organised in Allagadda to usher in the New Year.

The dinner is being hosted by TDP strongman AV Subba Reddy, who has a running feud with minister Bhuma Akhila Priya. The minister is livid at a dinner being hosted in her citadel of Allagadda keeping her out of the loop . She has issued a fiat to the TDP leaders not to attend the dinner meet, but AV Subba Reddy has taken it up as a challenge and is personally extending invitation to the leaders in Nandyal and Allagadda.

Interestingly, AV Subba Reddy was a trusted associate of Akhilapriya's father late Bhuma Nagireddy. Nagireddy used to value Subba Reddy’s opinion and was never out of sync with him. However, things have changed for the worse after Bhuma Akhila Priya became a minister. Even during the high voltage Nandyal bypoll campaign, Akhila Priya completely ignored Reddy. All these have only served to widen the gulf between both the leaders. Subba Reddy camp holds Akhila Priya responsible for the cancellation of the permission for Subba Reddy's birthday celebrations. Similarly, his constructions have been served notices for irregularities. Subba Reddy strongly suspects that Akhila Priya has a hand in forcing the things.

So, with both the leaders preparing for a showdown, the December 31 dinner diplomacy might as well turn into Dinner Dishoom Dishoom!!
