Ravela's anti-BJP comments ruffle feathers

The comments made by Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu on TDP-BJP relations have created quite a stir.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was reportedly angry and took Ravela to task for making the statement.
Speaking at a press conference at Prathipadu in Guntur, the minister said that the alliance with the BJP was only for the sake of AP's development and that efforts would be made to limit the alliance.
His statement is being seen as a clear indication of souring of relations between the TDP and the BJP. But many leaders in the TDP say that he made the statement without any consent from Chandrababu.
Political analysts feel that Chandrababu will not even think of slapping ties with the BJP. Chandrababu bowed to the demands of BJP to save a tottering BJP-TDP alliance before the elections. Post election, even the TDP leaders accepted that Modi wave helped them to come to power.
Interestingly, several BJP leaders, including Haribabu and Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, lashed out at the TDP recently setting off speculations of souring of BJP-TDP relations. If one goes by BJP chief Amit Shah's utterances during his recent two-day trip to Hyderabad, the BJP might soon steer clear of the political alliance and part ways with the TDP.
But none from the TDP leaders reacted to the statement. Chandrababu could not get any funds from the Centre even after six months and there is no clearance of pending files.
