Rajya Sabha Polls: Congress Ticket For Prakash Raj

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Congress is considering the name of actor and anti-BJP baiter Prakash Raj for nomination to the Rajya Sabha.

According to reports, several people from the film and literary world recommended his name to chief minister Siddaramaiah. It is reliably learnt, that the CM responded positively to the suggestion and brought up the issue for the consideration of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). It may be recalled that Prakash Raj strongly commented on the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Karnataka, recently. He is also active on the social media and is known to denounce statements made by BJP leaders. The actor was among the first to condemn the murder of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh.
