Rajinikanth No More A Superstar

Rajinikanth - Sakshi Post

Rajinikanth is undoubtedly the superstar of Indian film industry and continues to lure the audience from all over the country as a superstar. The Thalaivar made his Twitter debut in 2014 and took the micro-blogging site by storm with his entry. He has over 4.5 million followers and the Twitter handle reads - @superstarrajini. But recently, the actor dropped the tag superstar from his handle and named it as @rajinikanth.

Wondering why the actor did so, we have decoded the reason behind it. The actor recently announced his political entry and that he would contest all 234 assembly constituencies in 2021 Tamil Nadu elections. Keeping this in mind, he seemed to have removed the tag of superstar as belongs to the films. The Kabali star is now on an annual spiritual pilgrimage to the Himalayas and when quizzed about his party he refused to talk about it.

"I am on a pilgrimage here. It (the visit) is excellent, so divine and different from routine. I do not want to talk about politics here," he said. Rajinikanth was spotted at 'Mahavtar Baba Ashram' meditation centre in the remote village of Kandabari.

Rajinikanth will next be seen on celluloid with Kaala film. The teaser has already become a super hit and has gone viral over the social networks. The actor will play the role of a mafia don in the film and it is being directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Dhanush. The film also features Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Eswari Rao and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. Nana Patekar will be seen essaying the role of a villain in the film, which is slated for release on April 27.
