Rahul Gandhi's Yatra begins, meets kin of deceased farmer Rajesham - Sakshi Post

Adilabad: AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi began his pada yatra in Adilabad district.

The yatra, touted as an attempt to re-package the reticent leader, began from Koritikal village in the morning.

As part of the yatra, called Kisan Sandesh Yatra, he will walk for 15 km and meet the kin of five farmers who ended their lives in distress. Rahul Gandhi meet family of Rajesham, a farmer who killed himself in distress, and offered an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh on behalf of the Congress Party.
This yatra will cover five villages - Koritikal, Lakshmanchanda, Pottupalli, Rachapur and Vadiyal villages. The visit will end at Vadiyal, where he would address a conclave of farmers.
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, Assam Chief Minister's son Gaurav Gogai, MP's Sushmitha, Raj Babbar and Telangana senior leaders Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali, accompanied him.
