Qaidi No.106 Salman Khan Gets A Taste of Jail Life

Bollywood Actor Salman Khan got a taste of jail life as Qaidi No. 106 after he spent the first night behind bars after being awarded 5 years in jail by a Jodhpur court on Thursday. He was found guilty of killing two endangered blackbucks during the shoot of his hit film Hum Saath Saath Hai in 1998.
After the verdict, the Bollywood Bhai was taken straight to the Jodhpur Central jail accompanied by his own guards. He was put in a single cell with no access to visitors.
Following the verdict, the Bishnoi community celebrated their win. Salman's co-stars and co-accused in the case—Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were however let off for lack of evidence.
The judge who pronounced the verdict said that Salman was a star who had several followers who idolise him and so he must set a good example for them to emulate. "There has been a rise in poaching incidents, so leniency is not justified," he said.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan's lawyer has kept the bail papers ready as the Jodhpur Sessions court is set to hear the bail petition at 10.30 am today.
