Probe Into Shera’s Case Extremely Passive, Says Woman Who Received Gang-Rape Threat From Salman’s Bodyguard

A day after a woman named Shabnam Sheik filed a case against Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera accusing the latter of a gang-rape threat, the victim on Tuesday alleged that the police were trying to water down the case and are "extremely passive" in probing it.

It may be recalled that Shabnam had filed a case against Shera on Saturday at Khar police station. The development came in the wake of a row between Bigg Boss contestant Zubair Khan and Salman Khan. Zubair had, who was evicted from the reality show, had alleged that the superstar had threatened and insulted him in the show.

Later, Shabnam claimed that she had received a call from bodyguard Shera to settle the case. She even alleged that she was threatened by Shera if she failed to do so.

Shabnam is learnt to have been dejected over the way the case is being probed by the police. She alleged that the police were remained extremely passive and were deliberately delaying the probe.

She had been flooded with calls from Salman Khan fans on the helpline number of her NGO demanding her to withdraw the complaint. Later, she tried to bring the issue to the notice of Inspector Ramchandra Jadhav. The inspector reportedly asked her to shut down the helpline number. Meanwhile, the police denied Shabnam's allegation and maintained the investigation is on.
