Private Bus Goes Up In Flames

In yet another incident of private travels catching fire, a private travels but on contract to ferry across a marriage party, went up in flames on Monday night at Kaja near Mangalagiri in Guntur district.

The bus, belonging to Swaroopa Travels, was taking the marriage party from Guntur to some other village. As it reached Kaja, the driver noticed smoke coming out of the engine. He immediately asked the passengers to get down and alerted the fire service personnel. The fire tenders reached the spot and put out the fire. Minister for Social Welfare N Ananda Babu, who was travelling on the same route, stopped by and enquired about the incident.
