Popular Vogue Model, 21, Found Dead In Hostel Room

Popular Vogue model of Maldivian origin was found dead in a hostel dormitary in Bangladesh. The model, Raudha Athif, is 21 and was pursuing medical studies in Bangladesh.

The police said this could be a case of suicide. Raudha, known for “Maldivian Girl With Aqua Blue Eyes”, was a regular on Instagram and had over 31000 followers. She kept her promising modelling career aside to take up study of medicine. She said Modelling was a hobby for her more than a profession.

Vogue India photographed her last year, selecting six models from six nations of the Indian subcontinent to appear on their cover.

“Becoming a doctor to help people has always been my dream,” she used to day. The hostel officials and her colleagues say she always looked cheerful and her suicide was a shock for them.
