Senior Officers Lambast Chandrababu on Ensuing Cabinet Meet

Former chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao - Sakshi Post

Amaravathi: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to hold Cabinet meeting when the Model Code of Conduct is in place drew flak from several senior administrative officers.

Speaking to press persons here on Thursday, former chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao alleged that the intention to convene a Cabinet meeting was only aimed at flouting poll code. He said no one would raise any issue if a prior permission was sought from the Election Commission of India regarding the timing and the agenda that would be on the table.

On Polavaram Project, he accused Chandrababu Naidu of taking people of the State for a ride by constantly changing the timelines with regard to its completion.

“Going by the pace at which the work is being done, Polavaram Project would take at least another five years to complete. He (Chandrababu Naidu) said the Project was complete before election, and why is he selling a different story now,” he wondered.
