YV Subba Reddy, CPM Leaders Condemn Chandrababu’s Dictatorial Crackdown on Bandh

YV Subba Reddy - Sakshi Post

Former Ongole MP, YV Subba Reddy condemned the dictatorial attitude of the Chandrababu Naidu government in trying to disrupt the statewide protests by YSRCP leaders and workers demanding Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.

The senior YSRCP leader said that it was evident from Chandrababu Naidu's response to the Bandh call given by Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party president that the AP Chief Minister had a secret pact with the BJP.

The former Ongole MP said that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's reference to AP and Chandrababu, describing him as an ally and that the friendship between the two parties would continue, bore this out, he stated. Chandrababu had secret understanding with both the BJP and Congress, he observed.

YV Subba Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu should have actually come forward and supported the Bandh, but instead, he was trying to use the state police to disrupt protests everywhere.

Former MP and state secretary of CPM, P.Madhu slammed the Chandrababu Naidu regime's dictatorial stance on the bandh. He said that in a democracy everyone had the right to protest. It should be left to people to decide whether to participate in a bandh or not, he said. Deploying police forces to put down the protests was undemocratic, he added.
