Rahul’s Hug And Wink Act During No Trust Debate Creates A Flutter

For a strange reason, Congress President Rahul Gandhi caught the nation's attention today during the No Trust Vote debate underway against the BJP led NDA government in Lok Sabha.

The Congress President hugged Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his presentation raising many a eyebrows. Rahul walked up to PM Modi and hugged him, followed by a Priya Prakash Varrier-style wink after he returned to his seat in the Lok Sabha. Although Rahul's hug took the PM by surprise at first, he patted on the back of the Congress President and had a brief chat.

Rahul Gandhi's "hug & wink" act was a cherry on top of the cake to the audience who had thoroughly enjoyed Rahul's talk. In a seemingly pre-scripted but a fiery speech that covered several issues including Rafale jet deal, demonetization, unemployment and GST, the Congress supremo also had some embarassing moments when majority of the house, including the PM, burst into laughter.

A Twitter trend with #BhookampAaneWalaHai was making the rounds on social media last night, before turning into #BhookamAaGaya after Rahul Gandhi's speech. Rahul's remark on opposition's "Pappu" comment also became a point of discussion over social media.
