Modi Will Not Support Corrupt Chandrababu: BJP

Rajamahendravaram: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Somu Veerraju taking a jibe at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's demand for a steel plant in Kadapa and a Railway Zone in the state, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would never support the corrupt. Speaking to media here today, the MLC said the BJP would always stand by the people of the state. After being silent for four years, out of nowhere, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP CM Ramesh was staging a protest in demand for the steel plant, he alleged. Chandrababu must reveal why Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary is not in the limelight these days, he said.

Condemning the attack on AP BJP President Kanna Lakshminarayana by TDP leaders in Anantapur, Veerraju said Chandrababu was turning out to be an undemocratic Chief Minister. Andhra Pradesh DGP should be named the Honorary President of TDP for the attacks on opposition leaders, he criticized.

Chandrababu should stop the protests in the name of "Dharma Porata Deeksha" and concentrate on governance, the BJP leader warned. The BJP leaders are fighting against the terrorists in Kashmir, while Chandrababu is failing miserably in threatening the centre, he remarked. "Is Chandrababu ready for a public debate on the BJP's contribution to the development of the state?" he challenged.
