Police were rude to me: Akhilapriya

Nandyal: Tense situation prevailed in Nandyal and Allagadda area after the police arrested YSRCP strongman and Nandyal MLA Bhuma Nagireddy.

According to the sources, Allagadda MLA and Nagi Reddys daughter Akhila Priya was yelled at by the police officials present at the MLC poling booth in Nandyal. This led to tension.

" Dad and I were asked to wait for ten minutes before polling. Dad left the booth for awhile, but I sat there. Suddenly local DSP came up and asked me to vacate the place immediately and forced me to cast the vote immediately. If there was to be any delay, he asked me to leave the place immediately. Despite my request that I would vote along with dad, they behaved rudely with me," she recounted.

"When I told about this to my dad, he was livid and entered into an argument with the cops. He did not use foul language nor did he know that the official was an SC or a ST ," she said.
