People Want Mumbai Trains To Be Halted At Lingampally Station 

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) authorities have received a memorandum on Monday by the Forum to halt Mumbai-bound trains at Lingampally Station and make it a major station for the West Zone of Hyderabad.

West Zone comprises of Serilingampally, Qutbullapur, Patancheru, Kukatpally and Rajender Nagar.

SCR authorities told the Forum that they would examine the proposal of halting the Mumbai-bound trains

Forum convenor V. Srinivas told SCR general manager Vinod Kumar that people living in these areas have difficulty reaching Secunderabad railway station and their woes worsen in the peak hours, adding that as the four trains are already being parked at Lingampally it can be declared as major station.

However, SCR authorities told the Forum that they would examine the proposal of halting the Mumbai-bound trains.

Prior to this, the Forum took up the issue to MP Konda Visveshwar Reddy urging him to address their issues.
