Hyderabad: After Megastar Chiranjeevi congratulated Kalatapasvi K. Vishwanath on being named for film world's top most award in India, his younger brother Power Star Pawan Kalyan visited the eminent director at his house to congratulate him on Wednesday.

Pawan's director-friend Trivikram Srinivas accompanied him. Both the actor and director congratulated K. Vishwanath on being conferred with Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his outstanding directorial contribution to Indian cinema.

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas felicitated the ace director with a shawl.

Vishwanath directed and associated with around 40 movies in Telugu and nine in Hindi - Sargam (1979), Kaamchor (1982), Shubh Kaamna (1983), Jaag Utha Insan (1984), Sur Sangam (1985), Sanjog (1985), Eeshwar (1989), Sangeet (1992) and Dhanwaan (1993).

Speaking to media, Pawan Kalyan said he liked Vishwanath's movies very much. Maybe due to generation gap, Pawan never had an opportunity to act in Vishwanath's direction.

“The award made us all Telugus proud and it is an honor to the south Indians,” he said.
