Hyderabad: In the final day of Pro Kabaddi League, Patna Pirates beat Jaipur Pink Panthers scoring 37-29. In the tournament’s history of four editions, Patna Pirates has become the only team to lift the trophy twice.

The event which took place at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Sunday made audience glue to their seats. The last five minutes from Rajesh Mondal and Pardeep Narwal helped Patna Pirates beat Puneri Paltan by wrapping a convincing 37-29 win over Abhishek Bachchan’s Jaipur Pink Panthers.

The stadium was jam-packed which also witnessed celebrities like former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman and Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan

It was the season of many firsts as for the first time women’s teams locked horns in the Women’s Pro Kabaddi League.

In the women’s competition, Storm Queen and Fire Birds gave a tough fight to one another, with the game swinging both ways. But, a splendid performance from Queens, and a late point helped the team win the inaugural edition of the Pro Kabaddi League, scoring 24-23
