Orange Bus Rams Into Container At Shamshabad; Traffic Comes To Standstill 

Hyderabad: A private bus proceeding from Bengaluru to Hyderabad rammed into a heavy truck on the outer ring road near Shamshabad early on Wednesday morning.

No casualties reported but the driver of the bus got stuck in the truck with the impact of the collision. At least eight passengers traveling in the bus belonging to Orange Travels (AP02 5708) sustained injuries. The driver has been rescued after cutting the metal bars around him. The operation took three hours. The passengers were treated at a private hospital.

Traffic on Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway came to a grinding halt causing huge traffic jam up to five kilometers.

The accident is reported to have taken place because of the negligence by the bus driver who did not notice the indicator put on by the truck driver who was taking a U-turn. The bus was at a high speed at the time and the driver did not try to control his vehicle, truck driver said. The front portion of the bus was completely damaged.

The big-size pipes thrown out of the truck after the accident are being removed from the highway.
