‘Operation Chabutra’ Revived To Stop Youths Roaming At Midnight, 162 Detained

Charminar: The South Zone police detained 162 youngsters including 15 minors in 'Operation Chabutra' in Old City for wandering on streets without any purpose and creating nuisance after midnight.

The police swung into action in the wee hours of Wednesday night after a gap of nine months.

The police said that the detained youth were whiled away time instead of preparing for the exams

The police with 25 teams raided at Charminar, Kilwath Tegalkunta, Jangammet, Engine, Bowli, Chandrayangutta, Talabkatta, Santoshnagar, Madannapet, Hussainialam, Mirchowk and Reinbazar areas.

The police said that the detained youth were whiled away time instead of preparing for the exams.

The parents of the youths were called to Moghal Function Hall and the youth were given counseling. They were later left off after the counseling.
