Only Provided Moral Support to Kapu Agitation: Bhuman Karunakar Reddy

Guntur: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) general secretary Bhuman Karunakar Reddy denied his involvement in the Tuni incident and said that he only provided moral support to the Kapu agitation.

Addressing the media after a marathon questioning of eight hours by the CID here on Tuesday, the former MLA said that he is not afraid of any pressure tactics and is ready to face any number of questions by the CID whenever called for in connection with the Tuni violence. The CID should first question chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in this regard, he suggested and said that he was being questioned in the case with malicious intent. “Raking up the Tuni incident and foisting false cases on YSRCP cadre is a ploy by the CM to divert attention from pressing issues faced by the people of the state,” he said while comparing the chief minister with gangsters Nayeem and Jadala Nagaraju.

This is the third instance of Karunakar Reddy being called for questioning by the CID, regarding the Tuni violence in East Godavari district.
