Old Man Caught Clicking Pictures of Women in Hyderabad Metro Rail

Hyderabad: A week after the launch of Hyderabad Metro rail, there have been incidents of women being harassed. A 65-year-old retired employee who boarded the metro rail at Uppal station made women passengers uncomfortable and angry after he randomly started clicking pictures of them in the coach.

A SHE team personnel, who was on duty in civil clothes, took him after snatching away his gadget. The accused was identified as Narasimha, a retired employee in Telangana Education department. It was found that the man had earlier clicked several pictures of the woman in the Metro rail. He was arrested and a case has been registered against him.

The Hyderabad police has deployed SHE teams comprising three members each, in the Metro rail coaches and stations to end the menace of eve-teasing and woman harassment. The SHE teams work in shifts in the Metro rails constantly keeping a vigil on the troublemakers.
