Notices Issued To Bonda Sujata In Land Grabbing Case

TDP MLA Bonda Umamaheswar Rao - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: Notices were issued to TDP MLA Bonda Umamaheswar Rao's wife Bonda Sujata by the RDO, in the controversial land grabbing case.

Similar notice was also issued to Bonda Uma's supporter Maganti Babu. It may be recalled that the RDO began an investigation into the case following a complaint lodged by the victim Kesireddy Suresh Babu. He is the grandson of freedom fighter Suryanarayana who was given the land by the government in 1951. However, in 2016, Bonda Sujata prepared fake documents and seller in order to purchase the land of 10 acres at a throwaway price. On February 10, 2017, Suresh lodged a complaint with the Singh Nagar police alleging land grabbing by the MLA and his henchmen. Following no action by the police, he approached the CID department. The CID investigation revealed the entire episode of land grabbing and fake documents of the Bonda family. Consequently, an inquiry is underway at the RDO office and notices were issued to Bonda Sujata on Monday.

Meanwhile, Sujata approached the High Court stating that the case against her must be quashed. The Court directed an eight-week stay on the issue and told the CID to file their counter in the meantime.
