Swearing-in ceremony to be held soon

Revanth Reddy to expand cabinet

TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana tomorrow, as per reports. The reports have it that former leader of opposition Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is likely to be the Deputy Chief Minister. Congress Legislaure Party (CLP) are going to meet and elect Revanth as their leader i.e CM. Telangana Congress informed the police on the swearing-in ceremony. Security is beefed up and arrangements are underway for this swearing-in ceremony that is closely observed by Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar and other national leaders.

Meanwhile, the cabinet expansion is going to take place on 9th December. Coincidentally, the day marks the historic announcement of Telangana statehood by then Congress on 9th December, 2009. Then Union Home Minister Chidambaram had stated that night, "The process of forming the Telangana state will be initiated."

It can be noted that Bharata Rashtra Samiti (formerly TRS) continued to downplay the importance attached to December 9 as it may "glorify the Congress party". It is June 2, the official Telangana Formation Day that is usually celebrated on a large-scale with complete support from the BRS.

In order to give a strong counter to the BRS, Revanth decided to celebrate 9th December and amplify its significance. Hence, Revanth is likely to expand his cabinet on that date. It will be a double jolt to the BRS.
