UPSC CSE 2024 Prelims Exam: The eagerly anticipated notification for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 has been officially released, signalling the commencement of a demanding selection process for aspirants aspiring to embark on a career in India's esteemed civil services. Widely regarded as one of the most challenging exams in the nation, this examination paves the way for various administrative services, including the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), among others.

This includes 06 vacancies for candidates with blindness and low vision, 12 for those with deafness and hard of hearing, 09 for locomotor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy, and 13 for multiple disabilities encompassing clauses (a) to (c), including deaf-blindness.

Qualifications and Age Limit:

Candidates seeking eligibility for UPSC CSE 2024 must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. As per the notification, individuals between the ages of 21 and 32 are eligible to apply, with age relaxations provided for candidates from reserved categories. Number of Attempts:

General category candidates are allowed up to six attempts, while SC/ST candidates face no restrictions. OBC candidates can attempt the exam up to nine times, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) have the same limit for General, EWS, and OBC categories. PWD candidates from SC/ST categories have unlimited attempts. These provisions consider the varied circumstances and challenges encountered by aspirants, striving to establish a fair playing field.
