Hyderabad Cricket Association: No End to HCA Rift

 - Sakshi Post

Internal rifts  in the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) once again came up to the fore, after HCA chief Mohammad Azharuddin questioned the move made by the HCA to make former Indian spinner Shivlal Yadav represent the BCCI Special General Meeting to be held virtually on May 29.

HCA wrote to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stating that Shivlal Yadav will represent the meeting. Azharuddin questioned whether he was qualified enough for being the representative to the BCCI. He wondered why Secretary R. Vijayanand even supports Yadav in the first place.“It is time for you all to wake up, step up and voices heard and say ‘no further and no more,” Azharuddin said in the letter.

He questioned whether that is a reflection of the quality of cricket administrators of Hyderabad who are part of the bull-dozing brigade.

Azharuddin further felt that there are more talented and honest people who can take on leadership roles and perform. He also brought the technicalities which would normally bar Shivlal Yadav from being a representative in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the former Test player Shivlal Yadav said that it was unfortunate that while other Cricket Associations across India are prospering, HCA was in the news for all wrong reasons. '''It is high time the house is set in order by sitting across the table to arrive at a consensus on any issue,” he said.
