WBSSC SLST 2025 Results Declared: Check Classes XI & XII Assistant Teacher Merit List
The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released the School Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025 results for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers for Classes XI and XII, a major step toward filling 35,726 vacancies in government-aided schools across the state. Of these, 12,514 positions are for higher secondary level teaching.
A total of 2,46,543 candidates applied for the Class 11 and 12 recruitment exams, including 3,120 specially-abled candidates. Out of these, 2,29,606 candidates appeared for the written test held on September 14, 2025, across 478 examination centres.

Next Steps for Selected Candidates
Document verification is expected to begin in the third week of November 2025, after which the preliminary interview list will be released. The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in the written exam and interview. Candidates selected in the final round will need to submit original educational certificates, mark sheets, and valid ID proofs during document verification before appointment confirmation.
Upcoming Recruitment: SLST 1-Stage Exam
WBSSC has also opened applications for the SLST 1-Stage recruitment exam, which will fill 8,477 non-teaching vacancies under Group C and Group D categories, including 2,989 clerk posts and 5,488 Group D positions. The exam is tentatively scheduled for January 2026, with exact dates to be announced soon.
