After Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja Quashes Retirement Rumors

There was a lot of anticipation surrounding team India's final vs New Zealand at the Champions Trophy. While a lot of it was due to the fact that India had an opportunity to win yet another ICC title, a small part of it was due to the wide-spread rumors over team India's stalwarts Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Virat Kohli retiring from the format once India wins the title. 

Everything went well for the Indian cricket team and their fans as India clinched their 2nd Champions Trophy. But, fans were scared over the speculation of these three players announcing their retirements. However, quashing the wide-spread rumors, Rohit Sharma confirmed to one and all that he is not going anywhere and he will continue to play the ODI format as long as he remains in the sport. 

An elated Virat Kohli made sure that he isn't even thinking about retirement anytime soon as he celebrated with his teammates and wife Anushka Sharma. With both the batsmen confirming their presence in the white-ball format, anticipation fell on Ravindra Jadeja to announce his retirement. Now, the Gujarati all-rounder also made it clear with an Instagram story that he isn't going anywhere and he will represent team India. 

"No unnecessary rumors", wrote Jadeja confirming that the rumors that came over his retirement were purely speculative and nothing else. With this, Indian fans can look forward to the 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa. While the tournament is still a long way to go, it can be assumed that all these three legends will put their best foot forward to play the ODI World cup and possibly win the cup and end their careers on an ultimate high.
