JC Diwakar’s Rant Invites The Wrath Of Dalit Community

TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy - Sakshi Post

Anantapur: Close on the heels of the controversy over his rant at Mahanadu, Telugu Desam Party leader JC Diwakar Reddy has landed in trouble again. This time for his comments against the Dalit community in Andhra Pradesh. Several leaders from different Dalit organisations have strongly condemned his words.

In the recently concluded Mahanadu, JC Diwakar Reddy made controversial remarks against YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The YSRCP SC Cell Anantapur district president Obulesu and many other Dalit leaders as well as the public have raised serious objections to JC's words on YS Jagan and staged a protest by burning an effigy of the TDP leader.

Reacting to their protests, JC said he was surprised that there were so many people who were ready to carry his dead body and said, "Only sons carry the dead body of their parents. Here so many people are carrying my effigy and I never realised that I have so many sons."

The words have definitely not gone well with various Dalit organisations and leaders. They said JC and his family always insulted SCs and STs. Recently, he had made insulting comments on the Eruka tribe and now Dalits. The Dalit leaders warned JC not to make any insulting comments against them in the future and warned of strong reaction.
