Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Bonda Uma is on a spree of land disputes in the city these days. His illegal land encroachment activities are getting exposed one by one with time. Earlier, a row erupted over his alleged ecroachment of a land owned by a freedom fighter. Later, two women, Uma Devi and Lakshmi Bhavani, approached the district Joint Collector alleging the legislator of encroaching 86 cents of land, which is registered in the name of Penamaluru Development.

Now, a new dispute came into picture. Nandigama resident Subramanium registered a complaint with the city commissioner alleging Uma and his followers of cheating him in the name of land registration. According to Subramanium, MLA Uma's followers, Maaganti Babu, Vasu an Verma collected Rs 35 lakh from him, promising a land in Subbaraya Nagar venture. "After collecting money, they are not returning the money nor providing the land," he said.
