TDP Will Be Punished In 2019: Agrigold Victims

Guntur: Agrigold Victims Association Honorary President Muppaalla Nageshwara Rao said the ruling Telugu Desam Party will face the axe of the victims in the 2019 elections. Speaking to media on Sunday, Nageshwara Rao said, "In protest to the government's inaction on the Agrigold issue, we will hold a walkathon, "Aathma Ghosha Padayatra," on May 30 and 31. The proposed cabinet sub-committee on the issue was not convened till date. The victims are awaiting for justice to be done. We have called for "Chalo Secretariat" program from Guntur to Velagapudi in protest of the state government's attitude on the issue."

The association demanded a resolution for safeguarding the interests of 20 lakh victims. "We will hold the Padayatra in a peaceful manner, so that the police will not be burdened. The government should immediately release Rs 3,965 crores for the victims. Movie Artists Association (MAA) is extending help to avoid suicide of the victims," Nageshwara Rao added.
