AB De Villiers Christens His Son After Taj Mahal

Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore's destructive batsman AB de Villiers is one of the most celebrated players in the Indian Premier League. The explosive South African batsman earned a huge fan following in India over the years.

On the other side, Ab de Villiers fell in love with India and he confessed to getting flattered by the country's love for cricket. In a recent interview, the RCB batsman revealed some interesting facts.

De Villiers, who was joined by another South African great Johnty Rhodes in the interview, said that he began his married life in India. "I proposed marriage to my wife at the Taj Mahal, which is a great symbol of love," he remembered.

"I will name my third child after Taj as Taj de Villiers," said de Villiers, who is a father of two sons. In 2015, AB de Villiers Jr was born, whereas John Richard de Villiers was born in 2017.

The name Taj is something that is special to me, he added. Former South Africa player Johnty Rhodes made news in 2015, when he named his daughter as "India."
