RGV’s Officer Theatrical Release Date Postponed

Maverick director RGV's forthcoming movie Officer features Akkineni Nagarjuna in the cop role. Decades after their last collaboration— Govinda Govinda, the duo has teamed up again for an action entertainer and the movie marks their fifth film together.

It is learnt that the movie contains high octane action scenes which will revive memories of 'Shiva' among the audiences. But we are not really sure what will happen because the recently released trailer lacked fizz and failed to create any buzz.

After a long time, Nagarjuna is essaying the role of a cop in the movie and many of his fans are waiting to see if their combination would really work this time. Director Ram Gopal Varma had announced this movie last year and the release date was fixed as May 25. But the latest we hear from the director is that the movie release has been postponed to June 1. The movie release date was rescheduled due to technical glitches.

RGV himself took to twitter and announced the news,"Since many technical elements of #Officer with regard to the best viewing experience are taking much longer than initially planned, we decided to postpone @iamnagarjuna's Officer release from 25 th May to 1st June," he said.

Officer features Myra Sareen as female lead while Sayaji Shinde and Ajay will be seen in supporting roles.
