Rajasthan Village Witnesses Wedding After 22 Years

While it is the season of weddings all over the country, there's one place in India which hasn't seen one in over two decades. If you are wondering where on earth such a place could be, it's in Rajasthan. The village is Rajghat in Dholpur district.
The aridity of the vast expanse of Rajasthan is such that this village was afflicted by a peculiar phenomenon. Families would marry their daughters to men from this village because of the acute water and power crisis which plagued this desert hamlet.
On April 29, the villagers in for visual treat they hadn't witnessed in 22 years. A groom got onto the traditional horse to set out on his 'baraat' to the wedding venue in the village. His fellow villagers danced with joy celebrating the event while Rajghat residents sang traditional wedding songs to welcome the groom.
