Jharkhand: In a shocking incident a newly married woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint by her husband and his two friends. After initially refusing to register a complaint, police are now on the lookout for the culprits.

The incident took place at Rahaiya village in Palamau district where the accused Afzal Ansari married a girl from the same village. According the the FIR, Afzal came home late on Wednesday, accompanied by his two friends Bablu Singh and Afzal Mian.

Afzal raped his wife and then allowed his two friends to rape his wife. He filmed the act and threatened his wife of dire consequences if she revealed this to anyone.

The victim managed to escape the next morning and informed her parents about what had happened. The parents then took her to the police station but the officer-in-charge not only refused to register a case but also reprimanded them.

When the DSP was made aware of this he ordered an FIR to be registered. The police are currently on the lookout for the accused.
