Netizens Reject Tharoor’s Remarks On Rape Victim’s Act

Thiruvunanthapuram: A day after Kerala women cut off a godman's genitals for raping her, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Sunday opined that the victim should have reported the incident to police instead of taking the law into her own hands.
Commenting on his twitter handle, Shashi Tharoor tweeted saying that the victim should have taken the matter to the police rather taking the law into her hands.
However, the twitterati doesn't seem to have agreed with Tharoor's opinion. The social networking users swiftly replied supporting the victim's immediate justice of cutting off the assaulter's penis.
@ShashiTharoor's opinion is opposite to the popular public opinion. Glad that he has the courage to express what he feels is right (cont.) https://t.co/MNUcSZMpOd — Fahad Hasin (@fahadmh) May 21, 2017
"If a system is evolved that police would reach like a hero to save every girl before she is raped, no body will take law into hands," twitter user Mokkaram Khan commented.
The victim, who was a law graduate in Thiruvunanthapauram, had alleged that she was being sexually abused several times by Gangesanantha Teerthapadar who have links with Sangh Parivar outfits.
