MP Kavitha’s Helmet Gift Campaign Ahead Of Rakhsha Bandhan

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha started an online campaign 'Sisters4Change#GiftAHelmet' to promote the use of helmet among motorists. She posted the campaign on her Twitter handle on Monday on the occasion of her brother, Telangana minister KTR's birthday. It was also launched ahead of the festival Raksha Bandhan which falls on August 7. The MP appealed to all sisters in the country to tie rakhi and gift a helmet to their brothers.

Kavitha said, "It is the need of hour to safeguard our brothers and rewrite the tradition by gifting them a helmet this rakhi. As the number of deaths in two-wheeler accidents are much higher than the terrorist attacks." Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal supported the campaign and KTR too supported called it interesting.
