Mohan Babu’s ire at govt on delay in fee reimbursement - Sakshi Post

Noted film actor and educationalist M Mohan Babu on Wednesday blamed the political parties for increasing atrocities against women.

There would be zero crimes against women if stringent laws were enforced like in some nations, he said after consoling a rape victim, who was undergoing treatment in Tirupati hospital.

Mohan Babu expressed anguish at the government over delay in the funds release of fee reimbursement to the engineering colleges. As a result of abnormal delay, about 730 engineering colleges were in doldrums. They were not even in a position to pay staff salaries, Mohan Babu said.

He said his comment on floating a new party was misquoted by a section of the press. He clarified that his comment was not targeted on Union Minister Chiranjeevi as mentioned in the media. There were many political parties in the State which collect money from people. Some parties in Hyderabad would post flags and squeeze funds from people, he remarked. He reiterated that he did not make remarks against Chiranjeevi as he was his close friend with whom he would always share many things, Mohan Babu added.
