Former MP Adikesavulu Naidu passes away - Sakshi Post


Former MP from Andhra Pradesh D K Adikesavulu Naidu, who served as Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), passed away on Wednesday night in Bengaluru. Adikesavulu (72) underwent a bypass surgery in a corporate hospital in Bengaluru a couple of days ago but could not survive, sources said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu and State Congress President Botsa Satyanarayana mourned the death of ex-MP. Union Minister of State for Tourism K Chiranjeevi also condoled the death of Adikesavulu, who represented his native Chittoor constituency in Lok Sabha from 2004-09 and twice served as Chairman of TTD, an independent trust which manages the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh. Initially a liquor baron, he later joined politics and became a member of Telugu Desam Party. He switched over to the Congress after the confidence vote of UPA-1 government in July 2008.
