MLA found guilty of assaulting doctor 22 years ago

Ranchi: MLA Kamal Kishore Bhagat of Ranchi Ruling Ajsu party and another accused were on Monday found guilty by a local court in a case of attack on a doctor 22 years ago.

Additional Judicial Commissioner Krishna Kumar held Bhagat and A Bodra guilty in the case and would hear arguments tomorrow before pronouncing the quantum of sentence against them.
The FIR was lodged against the Lohardaga MLA and Bodra in 1993 for attacking the Ranchi-based doctor.
The duo were found guilty of violating IPC sections 325 and 387 , according to sources in the court.
